The founder of Allied Logistics Pvt Ltd is Capt. A. Shakoor, an ex-Master Mariner with 35 years’ experience in agency services for major container lines like MSC and NORASIA-CSAV, Break Bulk Lines Pan Ocean, Korea, Tokyo Line Japan, Time and voyage-chartered vessels from various companies and many others. Advisory service to the Agencies of YML, Hanjin, Wan Hai and Wec Line. He has the following credentials:
- 6 years contributor of the publication 'Doing Business' for World Bank.
- 8 years’ experience of marine consultant / surveyor for various P&I clubs in the UK.
- The certificate of appreciation from the president of port authority.
- UK qualified MICS/FICS in 1994 and 2002.
- Expertise in handling claims, penalties, marine disputes and troubleshooting.
- Through extensive investigation got waiver of huge customs penalty when tobacco was found in a container. It was proven a mistaken declaration.
- Port demurrage on large numbers of t/s containers exceeded free storage but with convincing reasoning the storage worth millions was waived.
- Got waiver of penalty by customs on agency through logical reasoning and factual.
- Master demanding original B/L before start of unloading cargo was handled amicably without delaying ship nor unloading of cargo.
